Victron MultiPlus-II 2x 120V Inverter Charger
Overview
The Victron MultiPlus-II 2x120V is an inverter and battery charger designed for North American 50A 120/240VAC split-phase systems. With a split-phase shore or generator source, it can accept and pass through both lines of a 120/240V supply for connected loads and charging.
If a single-phase 120V source is connected, AC input is accepted on L1 for pass-through and charging, and the unit combines L1 and L2 outputs so you have 120V available on each output line.
In inverter mode, output is 120V single phase. 240V loads are supported only when a split-phase 120/240V input source is present.
Key Features
- PowerControl for setting a maximum grid or generator current limit to help prevent overload.
- PowerAssist to supplement limited shore or generator power with battery power during short peak loads (available on L1 input).
- Two AC outputs, a main output with fast transfer, plus an auxiliary output that is live only when external AC is present.
- VE.Bus communication for configuration and system integration within the Victron ecosystem.
- Parallel and three-phase configuration support (system design and configuration dependent).
Split-phase pass-through
Accepts a 120/240V split-phase source and passes through both lines for loads and charging.
120V inverter mode for both legs
When inverting from the battery, L1 and L2 are connected internally so both sides of a split-phase panel can receive 120V.
Auxiliary output for non-battery loads
The second AC output is intended for loads that should run only when external AC is available.
